;D Hey is that you? I missed you all! Lois and I were chatting and wishing there were a place to re-group. So... here we are. We are going to keep it just between folks we know for now. Invite anyone who you know that would like to talk about online sales. Can't wait to hear what you have been up to. Linda Attachments:

They postponed the clothing changes until late June. Apparently no one could get them all done in time. I have been holding on my apparel to list when they have the glitches fixed. Absolutely hate a redo. I like to use the checklists to save my poor brain from meltdown: pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/Checklist2011.html"A new report will be available at the end of May through Advanced Search in Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro to help you identify any listings that do not have the required item specifics" Hopefully once this report is available, I can update from there and begin adding clothing again.

I have been holding off on listing all my clothes also until they get all the changes done. (Any excuse not to get something listed ;D)
I am not looking forward to to the higher fvf's...oops I am sorry that is right they lowered them........ I am going to slowly put all my smalls that are not already into free shipping but I am going to leave the larger items as is. I have got to stop buying large items. I found a big globe on a floor stand for $5 I couldn't pass up and a large slag glass lamp shade for $8 that I had to have but haven't listed yet. I think I should put them on craiglist.

Hi,
It's Crystal, I was CeeCee on Brigitte's old board. Thanks Linda for starting this up. I haven't sold much lately, but I'm taking a day off from the day job on Friday, and I hope to get some things listed then.
Are you two planning on switchin to free shipping once Ebay starts charging FVF on shipping? I think that's what they want us to do, but I really don't want to.

Hi Crystal!!! So glad you signed up.
The changes seem more understandable this time. FREE SHIPPING SELLS. eBay makes money on sales, so if they have to push us to do it... well we all profit.
I have started adding Free Ship to smalls and clothing. Free Shipping on Apparel just makes it sell faster. I know it is a cheap switch to add the shipping amount to what I would have listed for but it works.
For now I am listing all jewelry with free ship... UNLESS, I put it at auction. It is just too much for auction buyers to try to think they are winning the best deal on the planet with shipping included.
I pretty much only store list clothing. Have lost too much on great items by starting low. I think this is due to sizes.??
Great sales for me yesterday. One from each ETSY Store (2), One from Amazon, and I think 6 from eBay. Mostly pins.
How about you guys?
Busy?

Craig's List - I have not sold on Craig's List. Purchase only. As I am mostly here alone I am not comfortable having strangers come to my home, either to see or purchase. BUT, I have some big pieces to sell. I went to an Antique Mall about 10 minutes away from me last week. The place is so busy you need to get on a waiting list to get a space. $95.00 monthly and 5% of sales. Kind of like eBay without having to ship, list or store. I will try to get a blog post up today with some of the photos.... The place is a treasure trove. I guess I need to think of a way to figure out how profitable this investment would be.
Let me know your thoughts on this one. Really would help me sort through the decision process.

Good Morning Happy Cinco De Mayo! Welcome Crystal, glad you made it. I listed the most items ever when I had the group cheering us all on, miss that. We all know the more we have listed the more we sell. I have been stuck on approx 800 listings between the two eBay sites. I have a store and had to open another site to take advantage of their free auction promotions. Sales are good but it is just more work with two sites. I also have recently tried Yardsellr on Facebook with my jewelers loupes and after about 2 weeks finally sold 2. There are no fees there but of course less sellers. Yes we know buyer including me all like free shipping. I include on many of my small items but it is really hard to to with large items. On the old board we had lots of separate topics which was helpful (and sometimes confusing) the one I liked and missed was links to other sights that was helpful for identifying items like jewelry and pottery. I had bookmarked some of them but wish I had kept more of them. just me lois

I've got a new laptop recently (the old one decided it didn't want to connect to the internet anymore). So I don't have all of those bookmarks, either. I do use replacements.com a lot
I need to set some sort of goal - I've got 96 items in my store as of now. I want to get it up higher.
I see from the stats at the bottom that we've had a few lurkers - don't be shy - go ahead and post.
Well - I'm going to take some pictures, now. I've got a box full of old perfumes that I got at an auction. The plan is to get them all listed before I go back to work on Monday. Hey, I guess that's a goal. ;D

Goals help.
I just got a request for my address so a buyer can return 2 pair of sterling sugar and creamers he bought from me last month. It has been over 7 days since he got them and he left great feedback. But now he has changed his mind saying that are not as good has he thought............... Not sure what I want to do. I think he wants to send them back because silver is down to $34 and he bought them when it was over $40 an ounce. I might call eBay in the am.

I talked to ebay about it and of coarse they were no help. They just said it could be decided in their "wonderful" resolution" dept.
I wrote to the buyer and told him it had been past 7 days since he received it and he had left me feedback that it was fine.
I have not heard back yet but I am sure I will.

Oh it only adjusts the order on the main menu. Rats. But it does show the word NEW for posts since you last logged on. Not what you were looking for, but I guess that's what we get for free.
