An obvious take-up on Lois' what have you found thread . . .
I work up this morning to a pleasant surprise - a store sale. It wasn't big money, but still it's a sale! I sold a pair of salt and pepper shakers to someone in France. I start most of my salt and pepper shakers at auctions, because sometime they bring much higher money than I would think of asking for. Then if they don't sell at auction, I move them to fixed price in the store.

Don't you just love waking up to a find something sold!! I have almost all my items listed to sell international, except the big ones. I found out the hard way that there is a size limit to mail overseas. My favorite is 1st class international, it is really cheap for them, also small flat rate box. My sales to Japan off course have slowed down to nothing. Australia is where I send the most. I should figure out what percentage are international. I am always amazed at how many sellers will not sell internationally.

I use first class international a lot, also. It's still amazing to me that I can sell things from a small town in Indiana to places all over the world.

Funny that lately we have been selling more internationally too. Have one sitting here for Beijing. Pretty 50s necklace. Last week was Sweden and France I think.
We have been selling loads of bracelets. I don't know why. I expect pins to sell but lately it has been bracelets.
Look at this from terapeak: My Top Selling Titles Item Title Revenue Vintage Borel Swiss Cocktail Bracelet Watch Hidden Face $90.00 Lefton Vintage Lady With Poodles Figurine Spaghetti $45.50 Soft Kid Tooled Leather Handbag Small Clutch Purse Bag $28.50 Vintage Wire Cuff Bracelet Blue Cabochon Prong Set $12.99 Vintage Cuff Bracelets Lot of 2 Silver & Gold Tone $12.99
That is about 2 days behind but you get the idea.
Can't wait for the next auction, they promise to have more jewelry lots. JUNE 7 I think.

Here's my latest from Terapeak
My Top Selling Titles Item Title Revenue Vintage Art Deco Step Perfume Bottle ~ Intaglio Stopper $61.00 Vintage Japan Bears Hugging Salt and Pepper Shakers $12.00 4 Vintage Necklaces - Pretty Beads Blue Brown Yellow $12.00 2 Vintage Frosted Glass Perfume Bottles ~ 1 Eliz Arden $9.99 Vintage Chanel No 5 perfume bottle collection 3 bottles $9.99
Speaking of Terapeak, I love it, but I think I spend too much time on it. Sometimes I think I should just list and not spend so much time researching.
How much time do you spend researching?

Love perfume bottles, they sell so quickly. That is quite a hall you sold, where do you find them? I so rarely see them. Research, my guilty pleasure. If it is something I haven't seen before, I will waste hours to find out all about it's history and of course prices. Mostly I group them together and separate the ones I know from the ones I don't so I only enter the time drain for a few. I use Terapeak, Google shopping, and of course eBay both complete and active. I have Worthpoint, but it is only good for antiques in my opinion. Also there are lots of jewelry sites to use. I will list some in a few days. I have some crazy busy days ahead of me.

Love perfume bottles, they sell so quickly. That is quite a hall you sold, where do you find them? I so rarely see them. Part luck and part perseverence. They were in a box in the garage (of all places) at an estate auction. I waited most of the day (in the rain) for them to get to that box. They don't seem to show up at the local auction house very often - but when I go to "on location" estate sales, it's not that unusual to find some.

I love hearing that items are selling. Makes me want to list more. I have been kicking back the last few days under the weather with allergies and back ache.

Lois, I feel your pain. Literally. Sciatic back pain and allergies are kicking my lung problems up a notch. Don't you just love spring?

HEY Just sold a necklace on Etsy for $24 part of a group I bought, I am loving Etsy and Yardsellr has been good to me also. I wish I had a program like auctiva that could list them all at the same time with my ebay listing and end them also when one sells. I listed several items today on all 3 to see what would happen.

I have still been having sales on Etsy and Yardsellr so I will keep trying to list on all 3 since it seems to be worth it. I just pull them all up at the same time and cut and paste the title and description to all 3. Pictures are a pain to upload in Yardsellr as you can only do one at a time so I don't do a lot. I also don't find anyway to print shipping from either one so I have to use stamps.com,,,,,more work...............but I just keep telling myself it is worth it for the sales. We are taking a trip back to MN this summer so I need to save up some extra money. Gas will cost an arm & a leg.

My Ebay sales have been really slow so far this month - just 4 little items have sold. I've got 14 auctions up now, hopefully some of them will generate some interest.
